Coral multistrand, sterling silver chain with star charm, pearl multistrand, sunstone elastic bracelet and turquoise multistrand. This collection goes nice against the ocean and mountain mural with my homemade jewellery tree. My pieces are reminiscent of the sea and being an island girl it is my inspiration for my jewellery.

I think I could wear turquoise every day of my life. I have a turquoise coloured ipod, clothing, my bedroom is a dark shade of turquoise, I dream of swimming in turquoise oceans..... Guess it's safe to say it's my favourite colour. $180
I drew an 8 pointed star with a Mi'kmaq double curve design last summer. I went and got a screen print of it made for my native godson's 5th birthday. Unfortunetly the woman who made the print on his little black hoodie reversed the colour. The traditional white bead design was black! I almost cried after a long, stressful day at work. I didn't feel like arguing...or paying for it but I did anyway. I figured a 5 year old wouldn't care about getting clothes and I wanted his present to get to him in Halifax in time. His grandmother loved the design and wanted one too. :)
This is a style I used from my teacher's Japanese beading book. I used bronze coloured seed and sunstone beads. I originally wanted to use my square shaped peridot and a soft yellow crystal but the beads didn't want to work with my fraying elastomax, so just switching the beads and traded in my clear elastic for a smaller black elastomer made this project a breeze. Selling for $30
I've officially falling into the Twilight saga phenominon! haha. I used to be so ignorant about the teenage drama but curiousity got to the best of me and yeah...I've always enjoyed a lil fantasy now and then. I watch New Moon last night...yup...opening night. We decided to go early to beat the kids still in school. phftt. I just have to laugh at myself sometimes. After the movie I went out and bought the third book. I'm such a geek but I love myself for it anyway.
Oh and I'm rooting for the wolves.

I googled licorice jewelry...lo and behold there's a company with the same friggin name. Back to the drawing board..........
Speaking of which I never seem to do my illustration homework until the day it's due. I just can't get to it. I'm not the technical type...maybe I am and just don't know it. Either way I'd rather bead. Any other assignment but illustration. ugh! This coming from me. I've been getting lil awards and praise my entire life for drawings and I can't even bring myself to do a technical illustration of a ring until there's a full amount of pressure to get it done. bah!
I made my first Mi'kmaq ribbon bracelet. I might actually make this my trade mark. Maybe I'll encorporate a celtic twist in another piece.
Ideas are a brewin.......
